Calgary Philharmonic Takes You Through Space
Attention all sci-fi and Philharmonic Orchestra fans: this weekend is your opportunity to take in and experience the full extent of an orchestral salute led by John Morris Russell, Pops conductor extraordinaire, for Star Wars and Star Trek.
Calgary’s Philharmonic Orchestra, created in the 1955 merger of Alberta’s Philharmonic and the Calgary Symphony, is one of North America’s finest and most versatile live music ensembles that performs for more than 110,000 people each year.
Alongside the orchestral performance, Dr. Jose Salgado, renowned American astronomer, has provided some truly fantastic astronomical images to accompany the presentation.
Dates for the event include Friday, June 16th and 17th, at 8 pm. Set at the Jack Singer Concert Hall at the Arts Commons, you can get your tickets now ranging anywhere between $25-$85.
Looking forward to exploring the final frontier with all of you this weekend!
