Juicing with OJ this Summer – 3 Ways!

Forget about the hot chocolate and cappuccinos. Now that the temperature’s rising, it’s always nice to have something refreshing before starting your day, after a workout, or when you’re simply lazying about outside.

Juice is healthy, convenient and a great option to stay energized during long summer days. This is why I want to give you three of my all-time-favourite orange juice recipes that I’ve used for several years for those who want to try something yummy and make something easy to prepare.

  1. The Classic
  • 3 squeezed oranges
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup of strawberries

Add water to achieve desired consistency.

This one is one of my all-time favourites, especially because is really easy to make. You just have to squeeze three oranges to get the OJ, then add it in along with the strawberries and banana into a blender. It’s a great option when you’re in a hurry and need to get your breakfast done. It is also quite delicious.

  1. Caribbean Blast
  • 3 squeezed oranges
  • ¼ cup of mango
  • ¼ cup of strawberries
  • 1/3 cup of pineapple

This one’s ideal for the summer, very tropical. Just juice the oranges and add the rest of the ingredients in the blender. In a matter of seconds you’ll feel as though you were lying at the beach, taking in the warm weather. Sweet and sour, perfect for fruit lovers.

      3. Rainforest delight
  • 3 oranges
  • ½ cup of papaya
  • ½ cup of strawberries

I’m aware that many people don’t like papaya, but it does an excellent job in improving digestion and reducing inflammation in the body. Plus, the oranges and strawberries give it a sweet taste. Try it and you won’t regret it.

As I said before, juice is a very convenient way to start the day, especially when you drink it on an empty stomach. It also has a lot of health benefits such as increasing energy levels, reducing chances of heart disease and other health problems.

Juice is also an excellent way to absorb the vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and natural antibiotics that come with your fruits and vegetables faster. In addition, it’s also an easy and delicious option if you’re trying to lose weight.

Give it a try, and have a wonderful, healthy and lively summer!
