To commemorate this year’s Calgary flood anniversary, Neighbour4Neighbour, which is an event that brings neighbours together in a backyard concert, will be held this Saturday, June 17th at 232-4 Ave NE.
Starting at 5 pm, Calgarians are invited to enjoy 12 different performances by local artists, while at the same time they raise money for disaster relief efforts in Canada.
With a pay-what-you-can entrance, your donations would be going to Canadian Red Cross Services and would be helping Canadians who have been suffering from this years floods.
Kevin Jesuino, organizer of the event, was inspired by the 2013 Calgary flooding and last years wildfire in Fort McMurray (which affected over 88,000 citizens). He started Neighbour4Neighbour in order to bring together not only the neighbours of Crescent Heights, but also all Calgarians, their friends and strangers for a good cause.
